2022 Johannishof CHARTA Riesling quality wine
The association of CHARTA wineries was founded in 1984 to promote the classic type of Rheingau Riesling , to raise the quality of Rheingau wines and to distinguish them as distinctive from wines from other growing regions . Only selected Rheingau Riesling wines that meet the following criteria may be bottled in the distinctive Charta bottle with the symbol of the Romanesque arches :
- The must weight should be significantly higher than the legally prescribed minimum weights in the quality levels .
- Spicy acidity and a slight residual sweetness that cannot be tasted should bring out the fruit of the wines to their full potential, make the wines the perfect accompaniment to food and guarantee a long shelf life .
- They are tested for clarity , harmony and fruit by a panel of experts before and after bottling .
